FAQ
How long does a preventative maintenance visit take?
Most single-category visits are typically scheduled around 30–60 minutes per appliance group. Whole Home visits are typically scheduled for roughly 2 hours. Exact time varies by appliance type, access, and condition.
Does Preventative Maintenance include parts?
No. Preventative Maintenance includes inspection, verification testing, and targeted cleaning. If a repair or part replacement is recommended, we will review options with you separately.
Will Preventative Maintenance prevent all breakdowns?
No. However, it can reduce the likelihood of failures, improve performance, and help catch wear issues early so you can plan repairs before they become emergencies.
Do I get a discount after Preventative Maintenance?
Yes. If we recommend a retail repair during your Preventative Maintenance visit, you receive 10% off that recommended retail repair when scheduled within 30 days (same appliance model/serial). Retail repairs only. Not valid for manufacturer warranty or third-party work. Not combinable with other offers.
Do you move appliances or pull built-in units?
No. We do not move appliances as part of standard Preventative Maintenance. Built-in or restricted-access installations may require special handling and/or a second technician at an additional cost.
What if my appliance is already broken?
If a unit is already inoperative, we cannot fully perform Preventative Maintenance. In that situation, we will recommend a diagnostic/repair service first, then perform preventative service once the appliance is operating.
Is Preventative Maintenance an extended warranty?
No. Preventative Maintenance does not constitute an extended warranty and does not extend manufacturer warranties.
What areas do you service?
Preventative Maintenance scheduling is available within Doctor Appliance’s current service territories. If you are unsure whether you are in-range, call the main line and we will confirm.
How often should I do Preventative Maintenance?
Most households benefit from annual Preventative Maintenance. Homes with heavy use, pets, or high-demand refrigeration may benefit from more frequent checkups.
